National performance data for all schools was published in Autumn 2016.  We are delighted to learn that data for our school shows that at King Edward Primary, our children make outstanding progress.
   

School Gateway
A free smartphone app for parents is now available for download called 'School Gateway' for Apple and Android devices.

This is a free app which we are now encouraging all parents to download to receive communications from our school.

Year 3 Christmas Party - Monday 17th December 2018

Year 1 & 2 Christmas Parties - Tuesday 18th December 2018

Nursery & Year 5 Christmas Party - Wednesday 19th December 2018

Reception & Year 6 Christmas Party - Thursday 20th December 2018

Year 4 Christmas Party - Friday 21st December 2018

Children to come to school in school uniform in the morning.  Children to bring a named bag of party clothes to change into and a named plate of own party food.

Nursery children  can come to school in their party clothes and have a named party plate of own food.

KS2 (Years 4 - 6) Carol Service at St Augustins Church - Tuesday 18th December 2018, 2pm

Key Stage 2 (Years 4-6) and will be hosting their Christmas Carol Service at St Augustins Church, North Shields on Tuesday 18th December 2018 at 2pm.  All parents/carers are welcome to come along.

Pick up arrangements after the Service:

Can we please ask all parents of children in Key Stage 2 (Years 4 - 6) and any Choir members who are in Year 3 to complete the online form to help us with pick up arrangements after the service.

Christmas Raffle 

We have various prizes for our Christmas Raffle - Adult Hampers (1 large, 1 small) , Children's Hamper, Signed Falcons First Team Rugby Ball, Cuddly Teddy bear with Sweets, Glitter Snow Lantern.  Tickets are 50p a strip and will be drawn on Wednesday 19th December 2018.

We will selling raffle tickets from the school office until Tuesday 18th December 2018 and will be selling them on the 2 performances on Thursday 13th December 2018 and Friday 14th December 2018 outside the gym.

All funds raised will go to school fund to help buy resources for our school.

Prizes

1. Grown-Up’s Christmas Hamper
with fizz, wine, mince pies, shortbread, preserves, nut selection, weekly planner, Belgian chocolate sea shells, oat biscuits

2. Children’s Christmas Hamper
with cuddly ginger bread man, chocolate biscuits, finger crayons, Christmas stationery set, Santa cookies tin, mini digestives

3. Signed Newcastle Falcon’s Rugby Ball

4. Glitter Snowman Lantern

5. Cuddly dog stuffed toy

Tickets 50p per strip on sale from the school office and at FOKE Christmas Fayre – all proceeds go to activities / resources for the children
Winners to be drawn on Friday 14th December at the FOKE Christmas Fayre – prizes will be awarded in the order they are drawn and winning numbers will be posted on the website – please keep your tickets and come to the office for collection if you are one of our lucky winners!

Whole school Christmas Jumper Day on Friday 7th December 2018.  Children can wear their Christmas jumper/non uniform for a £1 donation to help raise money for our school funds.  This money will go towards buying resources for our children in school.
