National performance data for all schools was published in Autumn 2016.  We are delighted to learn that data for our school shows that at King Edward Primary, our children make outstanding progress.
   

School Gateway
A free smartphone app for parents is now available for download called 'School Gateway' for Apple and Android devices.

This is a free app which we are now encouraging all parents to download to receive communications from our school.

School closes today at normal finishing time, Friday 20th July 2018.

We will be selling uniform on Wednesday 29th August 2018 between 10.00 am and 12 noon in the downstairs lunch hall.

The school office will be closed all of the six weeks holiday.

We would like to wish all our families a lovely summer holiday and look forward to seeing all our children back at school on Monday 3rd September 2018.

Lingotot - French Lessons for Reception, Years 1 & 2 in September 2018

HAVE FUN LEARNING FRENCH WITH LINGOTOT!

We are delighted to have Lingotot French sessions back in Autumn term, available for children in Reception, Years 1 and 2. Sessions will run on Wednesdays straight after School for twelve weeks commencing on Wednesday 12th September. Payment is £50.40 for the twelve-week course.

REMINDER - When buying school uniform for September 2018 please remember footwear should be black shoes/trainers.  

No leggings please, these are not classed as school uniform.

Friday 20th July 2018 - Whole School Non-Uniform Day / Toy Day

We are having a whole school Non-Uniform Day / Toy Day on Friday 20th July 2018 (no contributions needed for this day).

Children can bring an age appropriate toy to play with in school on this day.  We advise no expensive or precious toys to be brought into school.  Toys are brought in at own risk, school will hold no responsibility for any lost or damaged toys brought into school on this day.

FOKE Summer Fair on Friday 13th July 2018 from 3.15 pm.

Games, bouncy castle, face painting, teas, coffees and much much more.

All welcome to come along and enjoy the fun.

Don't forget it is whole school non-uniform day also on Friday 13th July, we are asking for donations of chocolate for the Fair.

Free School Meals Information - September 2018

About free school meals

You're eligible for free school meals if you receive any of the following benefits:

  • Income Support
  • Income-based Job Seekers Allowance
  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • Universal Credit with an annual net earned income of no more than £7,400
  • Support under part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • Pension Credit Guarantee
  • Child Tax Credit without Working Tax Credit & an annual taxable income below £16,190 (as assessed by HM Revenue and Customs)
  • Working Tax Credit run-on - paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit and an annual taxable income below £16,190

Applications can be taken over the telephone by calling

All children in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2 are eligible for Universal Infant Free School Meals, however you must still complete the application form below to register. If you do not complete a free meal application form you will have to pay for meals from Year 3.
