Class 4O - Swimming Lessons

posted by Linn Hoggins

Class 4O will be having swimming tuition at Tynemouth Pool for 11 weeks straight after the Christmas break.

Swimming lessons will take place on Tuesday afternoons (within school times), starting Tuesday 9th January 2018.  Your child will need a bag (carrier bag or school PE bag) in which to keep a towel, comb/brush and swimsuit.  Boys must wear shorts that stop above the knee.  Girls must wear a one piece bathing costume.  Long hair must be tied back (girls and boys).  Children are not allowed to bring toiletries and no jewellery is to be worn including ear studs, for Health and Safety reasons.

We are asking for a payment of £27.50 per pupil towards the cost of lessons.  This amount does not fully cover the cost of swimming lessons and transport, with a great deal being subsidised by the school.  Therefore every contribution is greatly appreciated.

Please pay via the new Payment Post box located in the main entrance by cash (correct change only) or cheque.  All payments should be enclosed in a sealed and clearly labelled envelope.  Further details of how to pay can be found on our website.

Please complete the online permission form below.

Thank you

Reception visit to Whitehouse Farm on Tuesday 19th December 2017

posted 4 Dec 2017, 06:28 by Linn Hoggins

The Reception classes are planning to visit Whitehouse Farm on Tuesday 19th December 2017.  We will be leaving school at 9.30am promptly by coach and will return to school for 3.00pm. Non uniform is to be worn but children will need to wear suitable warm clothing for this outdoor visit; wellies and waterproofs are advisable in case of rain or snow.  During the visit your child will have the opportunity to meet Santa and explore the farm!

All children will require a packed lunch, however in line with free school meal options for Reception aged children, school can provide a packed lunch if required.  Please indicate below if you would like your child to receive a school packed lunch.

We would be very grateful for a contribution of £10.00 per child towards the cost of the coach and entry to Whitehouse Farm. The trip is a very special trip for your children with great memories. We cannot organise such trips without the wonderful support of our families as the cost for 60 children is very high.

If you would like to accompany us on this visit, please complete the section below.  Parents will need to pay for the cost of their own admission which is £7.25 each.

Please complete the online permission form below Wednesday 13th December 2017.  Parents will be notified if they have been selected to support the trip by Thursday 14th December 2017.

Thank you

Choir at Christmas Market North Shields - Saturday 9th December 2017

posted 4 Dec 2017, 03:25 by Linn Hoggins

Dear Parents

The choir have been invited to sing at the North Shields Victorian Market on Saturday 9th December 2017.  I would love as many of our fabulous choir members as possible to attend.  We are scheduled to sing at 10.30am for about 30 minutes.  Children will need to meet near the band stand in Northumberland Square at about 10.20am.  While they do NOT need to be in uniform they do need to be wrapped up warmly.  I will, of course, be accompanying the children.  Please fill in the online permission slip below as soon as possible to help with our planning for this event.

You will need to collect your child after this event from Northumberland Square in North Shields.

Thank you for your continued support.

Mr Henderson
