Uniform

Uniform can be purchased from the school office during normal school hours (up until 4pm)

We expect all children at King Edward Primary to wear school uniform.
We believe it is more economical, prevents competition in fashion clothes and gives the children a sense of belonging.
This policy is very well supported by all our parents.

School sweatshirts, polo shirts, shorts, and t-shirts are on sale from the school office,
please call into the school office if you wish to purchase any school uniform

(we try and keep a small stock of uniform in school for parents to purchase).

It is essential that all clothing and equipment is named.

Children should wear sensible black shoes with low heels.  If any shoes are felt to be unsuitable or with a heel, children will be asked to put on sandshoes whilst at school.  During winter, children are asked to change into normal school footwear if they come to school in winter boots that are not suitable for all day wear.

We ask that children do not wear jewellery in school.  If ears are pierced, one paid of very small studs may be worn.  Children may wear simple activity trackers with no wifi connectivity.  Other wearable technology such as iWatches cannot be worn in school. During PE lessons, pupils must remove any stud earrings, watches and activity trackers.  Any items are worn at parents risk and school is not liable for loss, damage or injury as a result.

Nursery
Our Nursery uniform is as above for all Nursery Children, except Nursery children wear a red school sweatshirt/cardigan.

Physical Education
For health and safety reasons we ask parents to provide their child with a PE kit.
This should include a sky blue t-shirt, royal blue shorts and a pair or trainers or sandshoes.

Footwear
We expect that children wear sensible style black shoes with low heels and have trainers or sand shoes to change into for PE.

Jewellery
We ask that children to not wear jewellery in school. Where ears are pierced, small studs may be worn.
During PE/swimming lessons pupils must remove earrings, including studs, in order to participate for health and safety reasons.
